When neubau eyewear and Grinko took over Milan Fashion Week

Fashion Week usually means exciting collaborations – and it's fair to say that one of the highlights of Milan Fashion Week was when neubau eyewear teamed up with contemporary Italian brand Grinko.

Founded in 2009 by Sergei Grinko and partner Fillipo Cocchetti, Grinko has been showing at Milan Fashion Week for over 5 years now and, with its distinct design language, just felt like the perfect fit for neubau eyewear.

The collection was inspired by the 80s, with strong shapes and broad silhouettes, completed with a punk edge seen in a heavy use of black and belts. But Grinko is all about the contradiction and unlikely combinations: punk elements were balanced with chic, tailored jackets and suits, and beautifully deconstructed sportswear was worn with more formal wear. The asymmetrical silhouettes were given a lift with ladylike items, and this is where neubau eyewear made a strong impression. Balancing the seemingly impertinence of the collection, the glasses gave it a posh, modern and classy look — perfect for today’s galant ladies.
